Volunteers are the lifeblood of both our centre and our charity shops without which we would not be able to carry out our work.
We are always in need of people to help look after our animals, help in our charity shops, help with maintenance and gardening at the centre, carry out home visits to potential adopters, help at events and to help fundraise.
If you can commit regular hours to help us we would love to hear from you. In return, we can offer the satisfaction of helping animals in need, teach you new skills or develop existing ones, a place to meet new people and have a cup of tea!
Please download the volunteer information sheet below for more about what volunteers do and complete and return an application form to get things started!
What’s the process?
Get in touch at email@example.com to register your interest and we will invite you to the centre for a trial morning. Before you do anything hands on at the centre we will require proof that you are up to date with your tetanus injections. You will be sent some health & safety tests to complete and on successful completion of these you will be invited to start at the centre where you will be given a guided tour and go over housekeeping rules and be trained by one of our staff members.
If you would like to help in one of our charity shops then please contact them directly, click below for a list of our shops.
Volunteering will provide you with:
- A fulfilling occupation during retirement or a career break
- Meeting like-minded people who are also animal lovers
- The satisfaction of knowing you’re making a real difference to a local cause
- Developing vital skills for working life and your CV
We are always in need of voluntary support in lots of areas across the charity, including:
You will see all aspects of animal rescue in this busy customer service role, which involves lots of multi-tasking. We do ask that you are able to commit to a regular shift each week. Please contact us for more information on this incredibly rewarding role.
Have a passion for gardening? Do you enjoy DIY and seeing a job well done? We would love to hear from you! Please contact us for more information.
We have four charity shops around Coventry which raise vital funds for us. Contact them directly to join our friendly team while doing your bit for a local charity – full training will be provided.
We occasionally recruit volunteers for this popular role, which encompasses all aspects of caring for our cats or dogs. We do ask that you are able to commit to a regular shift each week. Contact us for details of any vacancies.
Fundraising & Events
Our volunteers play a huge part in the planning and running of our events. This is quite a ‘hands-on’ role where you can be involved in many different ways. Contact us for more details on upcoming events, and how you can join our friendly team!
Volunteers who support us in this vital role are responsible for checking the homes where our rescue pets are being rehomed. Full training is provided. Contact us for more information on how to join our caring, dedicated Home Visit team.
